This weekend was super jam-packed and I just wanted give everyone a recap.
I posted some photos and videos on Instagram if you wanted to check them out. We went to the Taste of Charlotte Festival, if you’ve never been pretty much a lot of restaurants have booths set up in the uptown area and you can go around using pre-purchased coins to taste pretty nice sized samples. Its great because it gives us an opportunity to try a lot of different restaurants that we otherwise wouldn’t and we get to checkout new ones.
If you don’t like something then its okay because its not an entire meal and if you find your new staple then you know where to get it from. Most of the restaurants are locally owned and operated too. They have music and performers, areas for children, areas for the adults (read: alcohol). Greenbean was less than impressed with the food, but we went to Romare Bearden Park which was just up the street. There they had the Charlotte Symphony playing and he was able to jump around and run through the splash pads they have set up there. He had a blast! After the symphony stopped playing and the Charlotte Knights game ended, BB&T Ballpark put on a fireworks display. Greenbean liked the fireworks but was not a fan of the loud noises, next time we’ll bring headphones for him.
Saturday was way more chill. Greenbean and I went out to find Sean a gift for Fathers Day. I went grocery shopping, we vegged around the house and Sean did some landscaping work.
Sunday we went to church, and got lunch, when we got home we put Greenbean up for his nap and then I helped Sean do some of the landscaping work. OMG was that difficult! It was a balmy 90 degrees and the sun was beaming! Thankfully we put sunscreen on. I only helped for about 1 1/2 hours before I had to get little man up from his nap but Sean kept at it! It looks awesome now, so now we look at all of hardwork when we spend time outside.
Theres more we want to do but, this project is one less thing we have to accomplish.
All in all it was a great weekend and we were able to spend all of that time together :-)
How did you all spend your weekend?
Anyone ever been to the Taste of Charlotte? What did you think?
Until next time!
